Digital Tutor

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to deliver and oversee our L3 and L4 Data and L3 Marketing Apprenticeship programmes for an exciting, innovative training provider. Velocity Academy are looking for a candidate who is experienced in the field of Data and Marketing and would like to progress into education. The role will involve the  delivery of the L3 and L4 Data and L3 Marketing Apprenticeship programmes. This programme will develop students’ Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours in line with our required standard and timescales.


  • Responsible for the required number of learners in accordance with company guidelines
  • Responsible for designing/updating the L3 and L4 Data and L3 Marketing delivery models in line with Ifate requirements
  • To work as part of a team to create the resources and materials required to deliver the L3 and L4 Data and L3 Marketing apprenticeship standard
  • To deliver teaching and learning sessions via a variety of delivery channels (Classroom/Remote)
  • Ensure that apprentices are EPA ready and are supported throughout the process
  • Work with the selected Awarding Bodies where required
  • Maintain effective and prosperous relationships with employers and engage with employers often during the apprentice’s programme
  • To ensure learner retention is at an acceptable level
  • Review learner’s performance in accordance with operational and quality requirements
  • Motivate/drive learners to achieve in line with agreed targets and deadlines
  • Deliver and support the learning process
  • Monitor Health & Safety, Equality & Diversity and Safeguarding within the settings
  • To provide effective IAG (Information, advice and guidance) service to both internal and external clients/ customers
  • Promote Velocity at every opportunity with employers and learners, as well as all other internal and external parties
  • Actively market business opportunities and report accordingly
  • Manage own time effectively in order to progress learners including completion of paperwork and updating of systems, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Travel into the main office (Normanton, Wakefield) for meetings when required.




  • A good standard of general education
  • GCSE (or equivalent) English and maths
  • Data and Marketing experience
  • Data and/or Marketing equivalent qualifications
  • Knowledge and application of Microsoft Excel, Power BI and Marketing platforms
  • Technology or STEM qualifications and/or equivalent knowledge

Desirable but not essential 

  • Teacher, training qualifications (eg: CTLLS, DTLLS, Cert-Ed)
  • TAQA or equivalent qualification (eg: D32/33, A1, CAVA)


  • Ability to plan, organise and priorities own workload
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Good customer contact skills – customer orientated
  • Ability to work to deadlines
