Apprenticeship Levy
Are you spending your available Apprenticeship Levy?
The government apprenticeship levy is a tax paid by employers. It is then stored in a fund which can be accessed to help pay for apprenticeship training costs.
- It applies to those with a payroll of more than £3 million
- It is used to fund apprenticeship training
- The levy is charged at 0.5% of an employer’s total payroll
- It is collected monthly through PAYE.

I have been a gym rat for many years, as physical fitness was a condition of my employment. I enrolled in the Level II Fitness Instructor and Level III Personal Trainer course to enhance my knowledge and skills and to work in an environment that I actually enjoyed. WOW!!! I’ve recently done my level 2 with velocity and couldn’t fault my experience. Prior to my exam day Mat was excellent in ensuring that any queries I had about the work were answered quickly and gave me multiple check ins to make sure I was getting on ok. The work online is easy to understand and additional learning materials such as mocks are provided, which really helped. I was quite nervous going to my exam day but the day was really well structured and Ben (who took the exam day) was really helpful with any questions we had. The day went very smoothly and the experience was enjoyable so Thankyou Mat and Ben!
